It's between Chelsea and Arsenal.

From this weekend I think Chelsea and Arsenal too. There is no way that Fletcher and Valencia are going to fill the gap left by Ronaldo. He won them 12 games on his own last year, and yesterday, a newly promoted side could have easily shared the points with them. Liverpool were rubbish today and will not be challenging for anything this year now they've realised how important Alonso was. Which brings me on to the Gooners....as a Spurs fan I hate to say this, but I think they now have a combination of a few, not just good players, but special players. Arshavin will be this season's Ronaldo and will win the Gooners games they don't deserve to. A fit Eduardo is a world class striker and Bob Van Persie is one of the most gifted players in the game, and we all know how good Cesc is when he's playing well. Chelsea's team sheet will have them up there and they can battle better than Arsenal, but would Arsenal's attacking fluency be too much for a battling side?.... What Arsenal will need to do the job is a bit of luck. To me luck is a deflected goal or a hideous own goal, although the Man United 'luck' of having refs working for them is the kind that wins you the title.

I always believed Arsenal had the most talented team, we have the leagues two most talented players Arshavin and van Persie and our run in the second half of last season is overlooked (1 defeat in the league after nov 22). Remember we also drew 0-0 4 times in a row. We also have Eduardo back, Rosicky (hopefully) back, and older wiser players. Our one signing looks wise, I cna't judge him on the eredivisie as Ajax have been poor in Europe of late, so every good thing he does will be a revelation. We're stacked with talent and hopefully this win will give us the momentum like 2007-08 but we won't get the unlucky injuries like we did that season which cost us!

Stephen Taylor talking CARP like all these MOTHERFUCKERS WHO Manchester United nothing without Ronaldo and they will have problem or ref on their side. Manchester United will always prove these MOTHERFUCKERS wrong because they think and talk CARP.

I don't dislike Man United at all and in fact quite enjoy watching any team that has players capable of playing attractive football. What I do dislike are Sir Alex's double standards and the hoards of 'fans' incapable of looking impartially/rationally at a game of football (not to forget how eloquently their fans put forward their balanced arguments).

rightly said Steph, Man U are a weakened side in my eyes also, Ronaldo is replaced by Valencia, that cannot be a plus, Owen for Tevez is also a backstep, if someone significant is not signed then Man U will be a weaker side this year (taking into consideration that Giggs, Sar and Scholes won't be getting any younger), this does not mean that Man U won't be competing, they still have a great squad even with the changes, but it will be a more difficult task for sure

I'll agree that united have lost a "very important player" but i still feel we can win the title with the squad we have,we might not win in the style of recent years, but we will take 1-0 wins in "UNITED ADDED TIME" if we have to LOL.we will grind you all into the dirt for the 4th time in a row.LOL

I think it will be Chelsea's year this year. Haven't lost any players and strengthened with some good additions. None of the other big four have replaced what they have lost with better players and unless anything happens between now and the end of the transfer window, my money is on Chelsea. Not a Chelsea fan either, just so you know ;)

would you agree, that should there be another challenger to Messi's supreme performances this year (apart from Xavi and Iniesta), it'd well be Rooney
