The Cherries Won Dramatically Against The Hammers

football netBournemouth hosted West Ham United last weekend in a game of the 28th round in The Premier League. The match turned into a spectacular show with a lot of goals and dangerous situations in front of both goals. Eventually, The Cherries won the three points, but it’s more interesting how they did it, because the game can be reckoned with the classic matches in English football.

The hosts were better from the beginning and just 9 minutes after the kick-off they had the right to take a penalty kick for a Feghouli’s foul against Charlie Daniels in the box. Joshua King, who scored the first ever Bournemouth’s goal against Manchester United last week, stepped to take the penalty, but his shot went well wide.

A few seconds after King’s miss from the spot, West Ham United saw themselves in front with a beautiful goal, scored by Michail Antonio. However, Bournemouth managed to equalize before the half time. Joshua King made a great flip, leaving a West Ham’s defender behind him and put the ball into the net with a good half-volley shot. 1-1!

Just 6 minutes after the equalizer, Bournemouth received another penalty. This time Marc Pugh was brought down in the box by Jose Fonte and the referee had no choice, but to point the spot for the second time in the match. Unfortunately, Benik Afobe’s shot was saved by the goalkeeper Darren Randolph.

Shortly after the break, Joshua King found himself unmarked in the box after a dangerous free-kick for Bournemouth and gave The Cherries the lead with a good finish from the six-yard box. It looked like Bournemouth will have no problems to win the three points until the end of the match, but in the 83rd minute, the substitute player Andre Ayew scored an equalizer! 2-2!

In the very last seconds of the stoppage time, Joshua King scored his hat-trick after a very good Bournemouth’s attack. That was the forward’s first ever hat-trick for the club, but how important it was! He is now Bournemouth’s top goal-scorer in The Premier League with 11 goals.
