Is Bravo better than Hart?

goalkeeper footballI have recently been wondering why Pep Guardiola decided to send Joe Hart to Torino on loan and buy Claudio Bravo. And, I just can’t find the answer. Yes, the Chilean is a good goalkeeper, but he has performed awfully since his arrival at the Etihad Stadium. Bravo made two terrible errors on his debut against Manchester United, which didn’t cost him much. However, he continued with the unpersuasive performance and in the last City’s match in The Champions League the goalkeeper made an incredible gift to Barcelona’s forwards, being sent off in the 53rd minute.

Moreover, Joe Hart has saved The Citizens a million times. The English international goalkeeper was the key reason for Manchester City’s performance in the Champions League last season, when The Citizens reached the semi-finals of the competition. Now, Joe Hart is in a good shape. He has only lost once since he has arrived in Torino! It’s always sad when such a loyal player come across such a situation, but Hart has acted really smart, agreeing gently with his manager and not saying something he would regret further.

It’s not a normal thing, when you say you have no problems with a player, to send him “in exile” and sign a player who isn’t better than him. Such things may cost the manager even his job. In Guardiola’s case this will hardly happen, but his actions were very stupid…

In conclusion, Pep Guardiola will soon realize he has made a mistake. But, I am not sure whether he is going to admit it. If we see Willy Caballero among the starting eleven – it will be a tacit admission for the mistake! However, Josep Guardiola must recall Hart as soon as possible, because with Claudio Bravo, who has a lack of confidence, The Citizens are not going to win anything this season!
