Getting ready for Honduras - Footbo
We were very disappointed not to have come away from the Korea game with a win yesterday, but they were no pushovers. Remember, this is a country that reached the semi finals of the World Cup in 2002. I was very disappointed to miss the game, but my injury wasn't completely healed, so there's no point in taking any chances - there's still a lot of football to be played!
Korea were very well organised and very fit too. The humidity wasn't a big problem, but it does make a difference. We're used to playing in hot, dry conditions, but here you get your sweat on getting off the coach! I think it's fair to say that we had the better of the game. Stephane had a couple of decent shots, but Franck made the difference when he came on towards the end of the game. He loves to run at players and he's very quick too and made the space for us to score the equaliser.
We play against Honduras tomorrow who were unlucky to lose by 3 goals, but Italy are very strong. I didn't know much about Giovinco, the Italy forward before the tournament, but I think that a few more people will know his name by the end of the games. The first goal for Italy he scored reminded me of a young Alex Song!! HAHAHAHA
Brazil and Argentina look good too, which we expected, but I still think if we play together as a strong unit, we'll be very difficult to beat. We've got some very talented players ourselves, so while we respect our opponents, we don't fear anyone.
So, Honduras tomorrow and hopefully I'll be fit to play some part in the game. I'm feeling good, but will wait and see if I am selected. I'll keep you guys posted.
Thanks for reading, Alex Song 17

Hey Alex! I am an American Arsenal fan, and I know I should be supporting my country, but YOU are my hope for these Olympics. I am sorry to hear that you are injured. Hopefully it is nothing serious, and you will have an amazing time in Beijing. Best of luck and God be with you!! Can't wait to see you back in Red & White
