FC Spartak Moscow is one of the oldest Russian football clubs. It is a part of the Spartak Moscow sports society. In 1921, the Moscow Sport Circle, later named Krasnaya Presnya, was formed by Ivan Artemev and involved Nikolai Starostin, especially in its football team. Spartak was founded in 1922 under the initiative of trade union leaders and immediately took an outstanding position among the football clubs of the country. In the days of Soviet football, many government agencies like the police, the military, and so on formed their own clubs
