Lokomotiv Moscow, founded in 1923, was originally named as “Club of the October Revolution (KOR)”. It united the strongest football players of several roads of the Moscow railway junction. In the late twenties and early thirties, KOR constantly figured as one of the strongest football collectives of Moscow. The club was first renamed as Kazanka in 1931, and finally to Lokomotiv in 1936.
