18th March 1904, was the day when Austrian Football Association was founded in the Empire of Austria Hungary . Though the team was formed in 1904, it was only after a span of 25 years that the team started showing some remarkable performances. The team experienced their first success in the year 1930 under the guidance of Hugo Meisl, the coach. The team also earned its nick name as “Wunderteam”.
