Roman Anatolevich Pavlyuchenko (Russian: Роман Анатольевич Павлюченко) (born December 15, 1981 in Mostovskoy) is a Russian international footballer. He is a center forward, and currently plays for Spartak Moscow.

Career

Pavlyuchenko made his first team debut for Dynamo Stavropol in 1999. He moved to Rotor Volgograd in 2000 where he stayed for three years.

Spartak Moscow

Pavlyuchenko moved to Spartak Moscow in spring 2003. Since then, Pavlyuchenko has been the most prolific goalscorer for the club, scoring 67 goals in 130 games. His goalscoring, together with his loyalty to the "rhombik" (the club's emblem), earned him much respect and appreciation from the Army of Red-White Fans.

International career
In 2005, Pavlyuchenko was first called into the Russia national football team and since then has been consistently earning caps at national level. He has performed outstandingly for the Russian national team during Euro 2008.
