Jack Wilshere (born 1 January 1992 in Islington, London, England ) is an English footballer who plays as a wide midfielder for Arsenal in the English Premier League and for the England U-17. Wilshere has been at Arsenal since 1999 and has featured regularly for the club's U18 side and more recently the Reserve side.In March 2008 first team manager Arsène Wenger declared that Wilshere may feature for the Arsenal first team now and then in the coming season; possibly in the League Cup. England have high hopes for Wilshere as he is described by many scouts and Wenger himself as having 'massive' potential. On 19 July 2008, Wilshere made his first appearance with the first team in a 2-1 exhibition friendly win over Barnet F.C. He entered the game as a 45th minute substitute, assisting Jay Simpson, and set up the second goal for Nacer Barazite . Wilshere is said to have been offered a pre-contract agreement with Arsenal to sign a professional deal when he turns 17 on 1st January 2009.     Wilshere Wonder   Created on: 7/24/2008   By: DannyF   Tags Jack Wilshere,   Wilshere Wonder,   Youth,   Arsenal
