Jack Christian Rodwell (born 11 March 1991 in Birkdale, Southport, England) is a professional footballer currently playing for Everton.

 



 

Club career

Rodwell made his debut for Everton's reserve team at the age of 15 and broke a record on his senior debut becoming the youngest player to represent Everton in Europe when he came on as a substitute against AZ Alkmaar at the age of 16 years and 284 days.

He made his Premier League debut on 9 March 2008 replacing Tim Cahill in a 1-0 victory over Sunderland, and signed his first professional contract with Everton on 17 March 2008.

 



 

International career

In December 2006, Rodwell captained the England Under-16 side to Victory Shield glory, following a 2-1 victory over Scotland.Four months later he struck the first winning goal at Wembley Stadium for England in a 1-0 win over Spain.

On 25 March 2008, Rodwell scored England U17's only goal as they drew 1-1 with France U17 in a 2008 UEFA European U17 Football Championship qualifier.
