Edmílson, full name José Edmílson Gomes de Moraes, (born July 10, 1976 in Taquaritinga, Brazil ) is a Brazilian football player . He has played as centre-back/defensive midfielder for São Paulo FC, Olympique Lyonnais, FC Barcelona and is now owned by Villarreal CF after his contract expired in the summer of 2008. Edmílson won the São Paulo State, French and Spanish championships with São Paulo F.C., Lyon and Barcelona. Since moving to Europe, he has won a domestic championship in each of his first six seasons (four with Lyon, two with Barcelona).
