David Silva (born January 8, 1986 in Arguineguin, Gran Canaria, Las Palmas, Spain ) is a footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Valencia CF and the Spanish national football team. A versatile player, Silva is capable of playing on either side of midfield, or as a traditional number 10. A player of slight build, he is often compared to Pablo Aimar, the player he replaced at Valencia, also donning Aimar's trademark number 21.
