The fourth most expensive player ever bought by Real Madrid, Arjen Robben, born on 23rd January, 1984 in Bedum, Holland started his football career at an early age. He played with local Dutch clubs, C.V.V.B and V.V Bedum. His father and now his manager, Hans Robben always encouraged him to give his best on the field. Adept at the Coerver method of training Robben exhibited exceptional footwork and ball control skills. He was signed by F.C Groningen in 2000. With his ability to play as an excellent winger and a smooth  finisher, he is rightly called the “The Flying Dutchman”. Arjen Robben married Bernadien Eillert on 9 June 2007 in Groningen and believe it or not the man loves chess!
