 Alexandre Pato was born Alexandre Rodrigues Da Silva on September 2 1989 in Porto Alegre.  He started his career for Internacional in Brazil.  In his first game for the senior squad he helped create three of the goals and scored the fourth in a 4-1 win over Palmeiras.  After another great season topped off by his goal in the semifinal of the Club World Cup against Al Ahly of Egypt.  major clubs such as AC Milan and FC Chelsea were in a transfer battle over the prolific young striker.  At the end of the summer of 2007 Pato finally was transfered to AC Milan for 22m Euros.  He started 13 games and scored 9 goals in the 07-08 season.  The next year with Gilardino's departure to Fiorentina and an injured Marco Borriello the youngster was given more opportunities in the starting eleven.  He finished the season with 18 goals in all competitions making him Milan's leading scorer.  He made his international debut in 2008 in a friendly against Sweden in which he scored the only goal breaking Pele's record for youngest brazilian international goal.
