NUST formed in response to the turmoil that has enveloped the club ever since Mike Ashley took over the club two years ago. The group recently announced their intentions to organize a fan-led takeover of the club. Personally I can't see it succeeding unless they find some Geordie supporters with very deep pockets, but I certainly applaud the effort. Anything would be better than the current ownership.
