The ‘beautiful game’ just got more beautiful after the draw for the Champion’s League Quarter’s was made earlier today at Nyon, Switzerland. The room was filled with gasps as the 3’rd draw was made with holders Barca tied against the equally-graceful Gunners. 11G sums up the different ties right now..

The ‘dream game’ purists would have hoped for, was duly awarded; it really doesn’t get any bigger than this. The two most stellar exponents of the ‘one-touch’ brand of football, will be facing each other for the first time since the Finals in Paris, circa ’06. The game will also be noteworthy for the homecoming of two of the most famous sons from either side of the ‘Channel. Whilst Thierry ‘God’ Henry will be heading back to his spiritual home i.e. the Emirates, Cesc ‘Supreme’ Fabregas will be Catalunya-bound, over the two legs.

Can’t wait for the game to arrive, but before it does, here’s the complete line-up for the Quarter’s:

Olympique Lyon (France) vs Bordeaux (France)

Bayern Munich (Germany) vs Manchester United (England)

Arsenal (England) vs Barcelona (Spain)

Inter Milan (Italy) vs CSKA Moscow (Russia)

Note:

The first leg of each quarter final tie will be played on March 30-31, while the second leg will take place on April 6-7.

The finals will be at the Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid's home turf. It's a shame they are no more in contention!
