We@11Gunners have been begging for a defensive mid fielder of class and fortunately a quality defensive mid fielder is available in the market. A few days back Arsahvin said that we are 2 players away from Barca and what better way to get those 2 players by getting 1 from them itself. It has been reported that Yaya Toure is not happy@Camp Nou and he wants to move away. Blaise Matuidi might be another option if we don't manage to land Yaya..
Yaya has just played 5 of 10 matches Barca has played this season and this is not what he wants. His manager has said things which is exciting to hear:
"If Barcelona do not like Yaya there are eight clubs, the most important in the world, who are interested in signing him," Seluk told radio station RAC-1. "If he leaves Barca, he will not go to Manchester City where, according to his brother Kolo, he would be welcomed with open arms. This rules out Man City from the equation. It has been also reported that both Arsenal and Man Utd. are interested in him and are ready to provide him regular football. If he comes to Ashburton Grove, he will be a fine addition to this young squad. He has the experience and skill to make us stronger defensively. To add to this he has won all major trophy, so he knows what it takes to become a Champion.
The only negative point is that he will go for African Cup of Nations, but on the flip side this might reduce his valuation in January transfer window and we might be able to snap him up at a bargain. Wenger, he is the one we need desperately and puhleeeezzzzzz sign him. His arrival at Emirates will ensure that we we become a better unit defensively. And to win the premiership, defense is more important than offense. It has been proven time and again that the team which has better defense wins the title. He can do what Carrick does for Man Utd. or what Makelele used to do for Chelsea. He can even do what Vieira used to do for us.
