After a disappointing start to the season and cries for Van Gaal's head and fingers pointed at every blade of grass at the Allianz...Bayern fans were treated to some brilliant football and plenty of cheers...LvG is discussed in some quarters as the next General...
One thing for sure - LvG has so far been successful in implementing a system, which makes Bayern a
real
aggressor...Even though as a team Die Rotten has performed well..some names do stand out...
Gomez and Olic
- The strike partnership has clicked...Golic has been more destructive than Robbery ofcourse for obvious reasons....Olic has surpassed expectations of every single Bayern fan..Gomez , Klose and
Toni
seemed to be a big crowd to surpass ,however,  thanks largely to LvGs disregard for reputations - Olic has been a regular and the work horse in him has clicked...Gomez has scored goals , have missed plenty too..however he looks dangerous and has adapted well to the style of play
Muller
,
Schweini
and Van Bommel
- Beginning of the season , Bayern's midfield were supposed to be Robbery centric...However for a large part of the first season ..the trio has been playing amazing soccer...As a Bayern Fan , Schweini being consistent and mature is a real heartening sight..Juve game was his best in a Bayern shirt and he has been brilliant ever since ... Van Bommel was one of the players , I wanted to see leaving Bayern...Again , this has been his best half season - He has been disciplined (Thanks to
God
and LvG) and has stuck well to his task... Muller has been a revelation , he has been the main creator in midfield before Robben's return and has been a phenomenal success so far and looks score-ready always
Lahm , Van Buyten and Badstuber
 - Lahm moving to Right Back was the biggest grudge against LvG to start with - But surely Lahm has made a potent partnership with Robben down the right flank...and Bayern seem to have a
killer
right side after years ..The number of crosses and assists Lahm has produced speaks for itself...At center back,,did we really miss
Lucio
so far...Thanks to the Belgian , who has taken up the responsibilty , at both ends of the pitch - he is pushing forward , making tackles , scoring goals what not -  One would have to  salute LvG is for retaining Badstuber in the side , despite
Micho
's return...A more conventional manager wouldn't have tried it...And credit to the lad he has taken the chance with both hands and looks good in attack and defence
Jorg Butt Â
- The biggest worry for a Bayern fan at the beginning of the season was Rensing ... Jorg Butt has been extremely good , has made some brilliant saves , looks very solid and defence is much better organized and the best thing , fans can relax better knowing Rensing is not in goal...
So who is your pick for the first half ? Does anyone still want Van Gaal to be fired ?

I never wanted van Gaal to be fired. We all knew it will take time. I still believe that Lahm is better on the left hand side and should play there. We are missing a right defender since Sagnol stopped playing. Biggest surprise is obviously Mueller. He is very dangerous and is a player we missed in the past. Olic is great. To be honest I did not believe he would play much, but Olic is definitely a player that you need in every team. He runs like crazy and brings good vibes to the rest of the team.

Yeah. not much place left. Well Ribery would play for Olic or Mueller. And Kroos...good question. Maybe Schweini can play van Bommel's role and make space for Kroos.
