My third league prediction article today will analyse the Italian Serie A.
Congratulations,
Inter
.
Currently 10 points ahead, no losses in the past 13 matches, unbeaten at home and with
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
hammering in goal after goal there is little doubt
Internazionale
Milano
will claim this season's
scudetto
.
2nd and 3rd with 64 points each are
AC Milan
and
Juventus
FC
. The competition for the silver is with a tiny advantage to Juve -
I think
- looking at the opposition remaining in each team's schedule.
Genoa
are now 4th which is the position allowing them an attempt to qualify for next year's Champions League. Closely trailed by
AC
Fiorentina
however. 6th is
AS
Roma
at the last spot to earn UEFA Cup competition 09/10.
Not too far below these teams are
Palermo
,
Calgiari
and
SS
Lazio
. Given a bit of luck and a good run these teams
could
crawl up to threaten Fiorientina and Roma.
The relegation zone as I see it consists of
Torino
(still without away wins),
Bologna
,
Lecce
(currently at 10 matches without winning) and
Reggina
with the latter two being the worst off.
Top scorer will probably be
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
. But Bologna's
Marco Di Vaio
is also at 20 goals. Pursuiting are
Alberto Gilardino
,
Diego Milito
and
Alexandre Pato
.
For French and English predictions see
Ligue 1 final standings forecast
and
The end is near: What the Premier League final standings 08/09 will look like
respectively.
