So I'm brand new to Footbo.com!
As I'm browsing around the site setting up my profile I'm thinking that this is a really slow website. Then I loaded some other sites and realized that the problem lies in my cable modem.
I do my best at maintaining a blog about Major League Soccer at
www.mlsfanblog.com
. My best is often very neglecting of the website. I'd love to have a different blogger on the site for each team in MLS. Get ahold of me if you would be interested in doing that.
See you around!

Welcome to our community. It is good to have someone on board who can give us some insight into the MLS. What is the overall strategy in getting the league more popular, now that the Beckham strategy has kind of failed.

They should just add a team in Seattle every year. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/stats/attendance?league=usa.1&year=2009&&cc=5901I just hope they don't try to expand too fast. Next year Philadelphia Union joins the league and in 2011 both Vancouver and Portland get teams.

Wow, average of 29,000 is not bad at all. That number can compete with the larger European leagues. what is the reason for the Seattle team being so popular?

^^ mani i'd say the fact that seattle has over 3 million people in the metropolitan area and 1 professional football team means that 29,000 is a mere drop in ocean with no footballing competition...

@Michael: Still one could say the same about other US cities in terms of size and less competing sports. I am interested whether they do anything right in terms of Marketing.
