Liverpool travel to Upton Park, with Rafa Benitez’s side looking to keep up the pressure on the Premier League’s leading pack. Home-side West Ham will at the same time be looking to improve on their own inconsistent form and put an end to Liverpool’s 2-game winning-streak in the EPL.

Gianfranco Zola’s side has yet to win a game since the team’s opening day victory over Premier League newcomers Wolves. Left-back Herita Ilunga is still unavailable for selction and Zola will most likely keep faith with James Tomkins as his replacement. The Italian manager must also cope without Portuguese midfielder Luis Boa Morte, who remains out injured with a knee problem, however he should be able to recall Valon Behrami, who made a substitute appearance against Wigan last week, after being out with a long-term injury.

Zola has also been provided with another option up front following Alessandro Diamanti’s impressive cameo against Wigan, and Zola could opt to partner him with West Ham’s talisman Carlton Cole.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are likely to welcome back former West Ham midfielder Javier Mascherano from injury, which will enable Benitez to deploy Steven Gerrard in a more attacking role. However, Benitez will continue to be without Italian midfielder Alberto Aquilani and defender Daniel Agger. Former West Ham players Glen Johnson and Yossi Benayoun are also both likely to start for Liverpool, with both players showing great form so far this season.

Possible starting line-ups:

West Ham: Green, Faubert, Upson, Gabbidon, Tomkins, Noble, Parker, Kovac, Stanislas, Cole, Hines.

Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Insua, Kuyt, Mascherano, Lucas, Benayoun, Gerrard, Torres.
