About 45 minutes into United’s would-be-triumph against Blackburn, Evans leaped highter than everyone to head home what seemed to be a completely valid goal to put United back in the driving seat after a Santa Cruz equalizer earlier.

Howard Webb however, disallowed the goal because a foul was committed on one of the Blackburn players.

Mr.Webb has a reputation as being one of the best referees in the English Premier League. He may be quite rightly so and I do not doubt that. I do however, need to strongly disagree with his decision surrounding Evans’ goal. The boy towered above all else and put up an admirable aerial challenge. How else was he supposed to get to the ball? Ask Ryan Nelsen and Pedersen to not jump and leave him to ball alone?

What do you guys think?

There was nothing wrong with the goal at all. Webb realised he messed up awarding the corner in the first place as the last touch came off Rafael (though a good case could be said for it being a free kick to United). Unfortunately referee's seem to have the view that two wrongs make a right when it comes to these kind of situations.
