RIP Robert Enke, 32.
By Stanley Croyance
What a big shock, the Germany Number 1, Robert Enke died this evening after his car hit a train (information @ 2030 GMT). he'd only just become the German number 1, an injury to his arm last year prevented him cementing his spot.

All thoughts to his family and club, what a shame, he was a good keeper, even playing with a rotten defence. RIP.

uh, i heard he committed suicide... jumping in front of a train...A statement from German police released following the incident yesterday evening read: 'The victim is apparently national team goalkeeper Robert Enke from Hannover 96. The first police indications are that it was a suicide.' Police spokesperson Stefan Wittke added: 'At 6.25pm (5.25pm GMT) he was run over by a regional express train running between Hamburg and Bremen. The train was travelling at the speed of 160kph (100mph).' Enke's friend Joerg Neblung told reporters that it was definitely suicide, and said: 'He took his own life. There will be a press conference tomorrow with more details.'

Such a tragedy. Looks like he was depressed after losing his 2 year old daughter 6 years ago, and was unable to get over her loss. RIP Robert Enke
