Niko Kranjcar Harry Redknapp is looking to clinch a deal for Portsmouth's Niko Kranjcar following the recent injury to midfield dynamo Luka Modric, Kranjcar's Croatian international team-mate. Redknapp will be hoping that Modric and Kranjcar will be able to form a partnership at club level in the Tottenham midfield, but this development would put a question mark over Tom Huddlestone's future at the club, despite a solid start to the season by the young midfielder. Kranjcar was brought to Portsmouth by Redknapp and will cost the Lilywhites between £3million and £5million.David JamesTottenham have been consistently linked with Portsmouth and England international goalkeeper David James. Harry Redknapp knows the player well, and with Huerelho Gomes a.k.a. the Octupus currently out injured. Tottenham's current starting goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini, a free-signing from Chelsea last season, has at times looked a little shaky, and the goal Tottenham conceded at the weekend against Birmingham has to go down as a goalkeeping error. With that in mind, HR is rumoured to be looking to bring in James, and increase Spurs's strength in goalkeeping depth. However, James himself has in the past committed numerous errors. It is unclear whether this transfer will actually come to fruition as Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy will be wary of paying a fee for James, who is 39 years old and would most likely require some sort of transfer fee.Sandro The Internacional and Brazilian midfielder is apparently a target for Spurs following the two clubs partnership link-up. Early reports claim that Tottenham failed with an initial bid of £14 million.Outgoing TransfersDavid Bentley A move as part of a swap-deal involving Martin Petrov would see Bentley link up with his former manager, and help to kick-start his ailing career once more. The player is currently suffering both on and off the field (only a substitute at Tottenham and having recently received a one-year driving ban), and in World Cup year, any hopes of a call-up to the England squad for South Africa would be boosted by a move, as he is more likely to be given a starting berth at Manchester City.Roman Pavlyuchenko The Russian international striker is growing increasingly frustrated at his substitute's role at the club and has been rumoured to have submitted a transfer request. Roma have been linked with the player over the course of the summer but most recently, Zenit St. Petersburg have been linked with taking the player back to Russia for a fee reported to be in the region of £10.5 million. The End Result What do Spurs fans think about these transfers, both incoming and outgoing? Will Tottenham fans be happy to see Bentley go? How do Portsmouth fans feel about HR buying pretty much the entire Portsmouth team? As always, happy to hear from anyone else with an opinion or rumour on transfer deadline day.
