NEW SITE LAUNCH. GreatestPlayerEver.com is the site launch that every football fan has been waiting for. At last we will find out who the greatest players ever to play in the premiership are and also the greatest team that could have ever played together.

GreatestPlayerEver.com was conceived in 2008 with one aim... definitively discover who the Greatest Players in a number of different sports are.

The English Football Premiership seemed like a great place to start! With this sole objective in mind we have built a site that contains a full database of over 1600 players that has made over 20 appearances in the league since it started in 1992.

"I am in particularly excited at the thought that we have created a site will last forever, each season players can be added and statistics can be updated." says Mark David one of the site co-founders.

The site uses bespoke head-to-head technology that displays two random players selected from the database. It is then up to the user to decide which they think is the best. Hence the motto ‘You Decide’.

GreatestPlayerEver.com does provide heavily researched statistics for each player to help with decisions. Information like number of appearances and goals scored are displayed with each player along with a full breakdown of which clubs they have made appearances for. However the main unique selling point of the site is that it is completely reliant on human opinion – real football fans and not a computer. This means a player with 100 appearances might loose to a player who has 50 appearances because they are much more skilful - only a human can have an opinion and decide something like this.

Ultimately and most exciting feature the site has to offer is not only the ability to track the the Greatest Top 50 players of all-time are but also Greatest defenders, midfielders, strikers and goalkeepers. This advanced positional player tagging will actually allow us to present the greatest team that would have ever played, purely based on football fans opinions!

The site was created solely because the founders are fans of football however once built some very unique commercial opportunities came to light. Along with the usual site wide banner, skyscraper and MPU advertising GreatestPlayerEver.com can also offer the opportunity to advertise in association with a particular player. These have been of particular interest to owners of player fan sites and also team forums as we are only allowing one advert per player. 'Player Sponsorships' as they are known will initially be sold on a month tenancy basis.

GreatestPlayerEver.com launches with TrueColoursFootballKits.com as their official launch sponsor. As part of the sponsorship deal TrueColoursFootballKits.com have provided the site with stylish football kit illustrations used to identify the individual players.

When asked, John Devlin the founder and owner of TrueColoursFootballKits.com stated "I'm delighted to be involved with GreatestPlayerEver.com and see my illustrations on the site – the concept is fascinating and it will be very interesting to see the results". Lee David site co-founder also reveals "Now the technology is complete expect many more sporting launches this year. We are also looking to develop procedures allowing us to build head-to-head sites with an incredibly fast turn-around for 3rd Party clients".

GreatestPlayerEver.com was conceived, created and launched in 2008 by Lee and Mark David. The site, with it multiple channels has a mission statement to discover through the opinion of users rather than raw statistics, who the greatest players in a number of different sports are. The first channel released is the Greatest Ever English Premiership Football Player.
