Match Analysis
First it was
Real Madrid
, now it's
Chelsea
FC. There seem to be no save place to keep money nowadays. To be fair to Roman Abramovich, he didn't spend money on world record transfers, but he spent plenty no question. What Chelsea need more than ever, is
a coach
who will tend youngsters - currently missing. That's not Ancelotti, nor Benitez. Maybe not even Mourinho or Hiddink. That's 911, most likely. Ask Wenger or SAF, "Who is best at doing what you do?"
I didn't see the entire Chelsea-
Inter
match in full, because my attention was on
Sevilla
-CSKA. Yet I kept the other television close by.
Stamford
Bridge had two equals, I thought. Both seem to share the same amount of shots on goal and ball possessions. Perhaps Inter's central defence kept concentration better, but (I felt)
Wesley Sneijder
was the difference entirely.
Another attacking midfielder who made the difference on the night was a
6 million euro
Japanese
. The Horses had gone for a Honda, instead of a Ferrari. The Moscow fans who travelled all the way didn't run out of humor either, because they showed up wearing the club's red and blue kit with new sponsors written on their chests: Hyundai. Take it from a Spartak pig, and believe me, these Horses (Kon'i) are Crazy.
Pfff, Hyundai... Well, I envy them for the new engine. It was about the middle of second half, and CSKA got a freekick. Honda almost didn't jog before taking the kick. He swung his feet, thuds the ball, it flies like a bazooka towards Palop, bounces off his hands and into the net. That's not it. He ran, tracked back, tussled and hussled; the lot. Notice that both Honda and Sneijder are Dutch Eredivisie alumni.
Spain
's fourth placed team was put to bed by
Russia
's fifth placed.
Both definitely did not show their best form, for obvious reasons.
Luis Fabiano
was most dissapointing. Jimenez was right to pitty his forwards' loss of form due to injury, but Slutskiy didn't had it easier after winter hiatus. And let Arshavin save every Pig for last (see arshavin.
eu
), but I get to say this first, that as fellow Russian football fan, I wish CSKA luck to prosper in the Champions League [We're taking their slot next season so no self-pitty here].
3-3 away to Manchester. 2-1 away to Seville. This team got a small chance to beat the best in Europe, or any other team. Any one can do that when a player like Dzagoev is, by merit, kept on the bench.

Just seen the highlights for the Seville-CSKA match and that Honda looks very very good. I remember some headlines when he signed in January that he was a token signing and just because his name sounded cool! Why didn't Dzagoev play, is he injured? I really rate him as a player.

hi Stan. The Japanese is a level higher. Before the premierleague opener, Slutskiy said that Dzagoev finally got his mentality right for a serious game. I think its a bit like Balotelli case. He's still young. But he could learn a lot from Honda (already scored two winning goals for CSKA). But sure in 3/4 months both of them will play together, and when Krasic leaves, there is more room. Honda rpobably brought in to replace Carvalho, btw
