Red Star leave heart on field
By milic17
My team the mighty red and whites from Belgrade played great football, encouraged by the excellent fans that came to cheer their beloved team, their was over 30,000 fans and i was so suprised, but very happy to see the turnout and even after the game, the fans kept singing and cheering our team.
We won 2:1 but that was not enough, slavia wwon the first game 3:0.
The team never gave up and battled to the last minute, we had chances but inexperience is a key factor in not going through. Very pleased with the performance and will the players had and a special thanks to all the fans that came. WE ARE ALL ONE FAMILY!

Congratulations to Slavia and all the best in the Europa League.

RED STAR IS EVERYTHING TO ME,
RED STAR IS MY LIFE,
WINS OR LOSES,
I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!

Hi Alex, bad luck for Crvena Zvezda, but it is always nice to see a team fight back in second leg in a seemingly hopeless situation. What I wanted to ask is how was it really with the hatred towards Slavia supporters, players and basically everyone who is a citizen of the Czech Republic. I understand that the Serbian media coloured the events which surrounded the first leg in Prague, saying that the police beat up some fans without any reason etc. What's your view on this? Ћуцај се!Вашек

Hi Vasek, i am big fan of Czech football and what happened was disgraceful! the red star fans that went to Prague and acted like animals are not fans, they do not represent the club, they just put shame on our club and nation! A few weeks ago Torcida fans of Hajduk caused trouble i think in czech republic or slovakia, so now the idiot animals from our club wanted to show them that our fans are hooligans also. IT WAS DISGRACEFUL! I like Slavia aswell, they have strong football tradition, the first ball in Serbia was from Prague, and the club VOJVODINA is made from Slavia.Cuvaj se, Zbogom!

Yeah, I guess this problem is anywhere in the world, with such "fans" traveling with "their" club and doing mess wherever they can to overshadow those 99% of real supporters. It is on a long discussion. I remember that Dinamo "Bad Boys" were in Prague recently and, guess what, the morons from Sparta Prague were actually INSPIRED by their hooliganism, saying how big boys they were. I see now that you're in Sydney, so you couldn't experience what it was like in Beograd on Thursday... Slavia supporters were held outside of Beograd because in the city it was thought to be wee too dangerous for them to appear. So they managed to get to watch the game only at the end of the first half... I just wondered whether this was the ordinary "welcoming" process when Crvena Zvezda play at home :D BTW: Do you keep an eye on football in Australia? Sydney FC have a Czech coach as well as some Czech players, so maybe they're the most popular Australian club in the Czech Republic :D Take care!

Hi Vasek usually the red star fans are normal fans that just support and encourage their team, they do not do much to other fans, it was just drunk hooligans enjoying their first and only visit outside of Serbia for a longtime, they should be banned, but english fans are always like this. Its usuall the PArtizan belgrade fans that act like animals. Their was about 50 Slavia fans sitting on one little part of stadium not near any red star fans. Yes Vladislav Lavicka he is good coach, i am going to Sydney FC game in a few hours, hopefully i end up seeing him and take a photo, he is a good coach and hopefully the club can play some nice eastern european football.
