United's player of the season Nemanja Vidic just turned in the worst performance of his career against Liverpool - Vidic was directly responsible for Liverpool's first goal - as Fernando Torres toyed with the big Serb and sped past him to equalize, and then Vidic added a straight red card (and instant ban) to his box score - directly resulting in Liverpool's 3rd goal: a beautiful Fabio Aurelio finish.

 

So, with Vidic out - United turn to young Northern Irish international Evans in the short term. Evans is most famous for allegedly raping a woman at the team's Christmas Party a few years ago (he was cleared of all charges), but now he will look to step in alongside Rio Ferdinand and help United continue their charge to the title.
